The DNS-6040 series Network Attached Storage is a specially designed server for workgroups
and solution providers with storage area network requirements across heterogeneous
Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, Novell NetWare, Apple Macintosh, and Linux clients. It's an all in one system that includes hardware and embedded software. A cost-effective alternative
solution to traditional file servers, the DNS-6040 series provides extraordinary reliability
coupled with compatibility and versatile features like easy set-up, large archive space and
optional redundant power supplies.

  • Alternative to traditional file servers – With up to 480GB hard disk capacity, the DNS-6040M is the ideal alternative to deploying a traditional large capacity file server. It delivers extraordinary reliability and compatibility with every major operating system and protocol. The NAS can be deployed at a fraction of the cost of a traditional file server.
     

  • Reliability – Maximum data protection is provided with RAID 1 and 5 mirroring.
     

  • Network Connectivity – 2 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet are provided for network connection. The DNS-6040M comes with out of the box solution for Windows, NetWare, Macintosh and Unix/Linux transparent multi-platform file sharing.
     

  • Easy Installation – Installing is quick, easy and requires no network downtime. Simply connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable, plug into the power outlet and turn on the power.
     

  • Redundant Power Supply – DNS-6040M comes with two 250W internal universal power supplies.
